Defining Moment

Everybody says that it's the moment that defines you as a man, and it's so true. Up to now, the moment that my wife and I were married was the happiest of my life. As I sat at her bedside though, waiting for that one last push to meet our son, I was struck with a moment of definition. As I heard him cry for the first time, I was moved to tears and so taken with the fact that we had created this life together and now this was my destiny-to be a father. I was responsible for this little being and I had never felt more joy than that moment that I first held my son for the first time.
