Daddy's Girl

I didn't think it would be a big deal to for him to give me away, he'd already been through this three times with my sisters.

He looked at me through blurry tear-filled eyes and put out his arm for me to hold onto. He whispered, "Your're beautiful," and gently pulled me forward into the room of waiting guests.

We walked slowly down the aisle, cameras flashing from all directions, and I sensed that he was savoring the moment, trying to stall actually giving me away.

He lifted my veil and kissed my cheek, then shook the hand of my future husband. He gave me a teary wink, then handed me over.
