Crow in my backyard

I was washing the dishes when I noticed him. It was about 10 feet away, in the dogwood tree in my back yard. Sitting on one of the branches in the middle of the tree, was a small black crow. I watched him for a moment, assuming he would hop to the ground for a worm or something.

It took a few seconds to make the connection that the bird was staring at me from the tree. I looked down at the dishes I was watching, telling myself it was just in my head. When I looked back up the bird was gone, which made me finish with the dishes early and head into a more window free room.
