Buying our first house

David and I had been working and saving our money for a down payment on a house. We had looked at a lot of houses, but none of them struck both of us as "the one." Then this one day, when we had practically given up, the real estate agent took us to what looked like a darling house that had just come on the market. As we toured the inside, we noticed that the house needed some repairs. Yet it was somehow speaking to us that this was "the one." So we decided to buy it right then and there.
