"Teacher! Ben put a bean in his ear!" spouted little Louisa. I was glad she had said something, as it explained why Ben had suddenly started to cry.
I had walked him over to my desk in an attempt to try and pry the bean from his ear, but it was no use. I calmed him down with some secret toys that I kept in my desk, and then called for one of the nursing students to come down take him to get the bean removed. Ben was really lucky he was in a college daycare, and not some run of the mill babysitters. They had all the best stuff and would have him fixed up in no time.
