Almost Time

We used it each and every year to keep track of the days. Christmas was our favorite time of year and we would keep track every year through our Advent calendar. We'd start opening each slot every night starting at the beginning of December and we'd eat the chocolate coin inside and read the prayer every night like a ritual until it was Christmas Eve. It was so fun and such a delicious and exciting way to count down the days until Santa would come. Each of us kids had our own calendar but we would do it all together with mom and dad each and every night, it was our little family tradition.
