Adult Party

My girlfriend just out of college was a very high society type of girl. Her name was Addie, and she likes to get all gussied up and go out to talk with other socialites about the gossip off the town.

I had managed to avoid going with her to those gatherings while we were still in college, but once I was out, it was either go with her, or stop dating her. I really liked Addie, and so I found myself going to a gathering when I was 27. When we got there, it was a big country club in the city, and they even valet parked our car. It felt like such an 'Adult Party', and I found myself talking about the most boring subjects with the other young men. I couldn't wait to get out of there as soon as possible.
