Adopting our first child

My wife and I had been trying to have children but couldn't. Tests showed that I was infertile. With my wife being blind in one eye, we had trouble adopting through normal channels. So we adopted privately through an attorney. Our daughter was our pride and joy. She was adorable, with a slick of dark hair and deep, blue eyes. We had waited so long to get her we probably went overboard. Everything revolved around her and we were constantly showing her off.
